Or instead of taking a miracle drug that gives you the permanent shits, you could have just exercised.

It’s actually much more effective to eat less. It takes a shite ton of exercise to burn off a single donut or handful of fudge rounds.

You've done nothing for 8 years? Not lose weight or try Metformin?

Ah you think diarrhea is your ally? You merely adopted the poo. I was born in it, molded by it. I didn't see the solid until I was already a man, by then it was nothing to me but blinding!

I remember when fatso’s were literally dying for a weight loss miracle pill.

It was a pill devised to fight marijuana usage during the Reagan Administration by indiscriminately blocking ALL cannabinoid receptors.

Blocked so well the patients all over the world died. Google up Rimonabant and see for yourself. FDA did not want to pull the product because “pot bad, medicine good” or maybe it was just the political will.

NEVER trust government with anything you value no matter the label the uniparty wears.

She’s so young. That’s a real shame to have to deal with that for the rest of your life. I can’t imagine how difficult that’s going to be to deal with.

Addendum incoming…. I think there is a root cause to this that should resonate, although I’m not too sure it does really, and that’s what drives this is the foods we consume, lack of exercise, and fast paced and overwhelmed American lifestyles that only cater to us making bad choices that get us in these overweight predicaments and make people turn to drugs to counter the effects from those bad choices we make. It’s a vicious cycle of bad food and bad medicine. It gets one people filthy rich, and another people suffering the consequences. It’s sick, especially since the number of those benefitting to those suffering are minuscule by comparison.

Wasn't this drug approved for serious diabetes?

Not weight loss?

If she was using off label, how's it drug companies fault?

Boner pills and hair regrowth pills were not the original target when designed either

It’s now being marketed for weight loss. Weight Watchers has a whole division marketing ozempic for fat people

Are the side effects worse for people who don’t really have diabetes or those not truly obese?

I think it’s the way these folks are being prescribed it. The SO (diabetic) was prescribed it by his endocrinologist and they slowly titrated him up, encouraged him to increase fiber in his diet to avoid the bowel issues, etc. His only side effect he’s been getting is mild nausea that’s been helped by a ginger supplement.

He was reading in a forum with others who have been prescribed it that the ones doing it for weight loss were prescribed the full dose out of the gate and received no real education on how to manage side effects. It seemed those were the people who were really struggling with side effects.

The diabetic meds the SO was on had worse side effects (Metformin in particular). He’s off of all of them now.

I tried Berberine with no real results. Metformin helped me get my slightly high blood sugar down to regular levels.

Did they remove her colon? They didn't really explain what actually happened. The drug obviously damaged something to the point of no return and it likely had to be removed.
Even then, there's still ways around that, to where someone isn't stuck with diarrhea just because they have no colon.
