I don't buy Ozempic being a cure-all for losing weight to become healthy. There aren't shortcuts to losing weight and being healthy. The only way that works long term is mostly diet and exercise with diet I think being the bigger part to lose weight moreso than exercise but still matters.

If you think about it, a heavy workout can burn 250 calories. Well, 2 cokes has more than 250 calories. Which would be a net plus in calories. Mostly diet loses weight I think.

It sheds pounds but there has to be many negative long term effects of it. No such thing as a magic pill.

Are the side effects worse for people who don’t really have diabetes or those not truly obese?

Using it to treat pre-diabetes like with this woman seems overkill or a way for doctors to justify prescribing it.

More and more since covid and blm I am seeing doctors skirt around the hippocratic oath. Saw my first woke agreement to not offend anyone and be inclusive or find a new doctor’s office with an upcoming referral from my regular doctor. Besides the unreasonable and one-sided political definitions of “offensive” that will get used in many corporate health networks and multi office chain type doctors’ practices how long before some always offended employee starts searching out patients’ social media and supported politics that they don’t like and getting people kicked out for things the offended had to search out to get offended by and not anything the patient did or said at office or to anyone at office.

When ozempic blew up in popularity and all these obese people were using it to cheat hard work and still lose weight, I tried telling people there would be unexpected side effects because nothing comes that easy. Now the ozempic chickens are coming home to roost

Semaglutide's side effect profile is well-known, with gastroparesis being one of the rarer side effects. Again, the medication itself nor the class of medications it belongs to are not new.

Isn’t weight loss treatment off label? Maybe sue the provider and not the diabetes drug maker.

Dr's have been after wife and I for the last 8 years about A1C being above 7 but less than 8 and pushing drugs to get it lower. Entry level drug required by insurance is Metformin, pooping your pants is most common response. On the other end of cost, 150$/week is farciga sp? With ozempic and trulicity priced in there also. They all work to impair your digestion, with diarrhea . This class of drugs is really impactful, serious. I would never use them for weight lose.

If you're looking for an OTC supplement to lower blood sugar then try berberine.

It doesn't last as long but if you take it with meals it still does a little to lower blood sugar.

Yet novo nordisk says the compounded version is unsafe. I’ve had zero patients come back with complaints other than nausea with our compounded one.

I agree with you but I'd prefer the low IQ/instant gratification types just take cyanide.
