You would think as fast as a propeller is spinning a person couldn’t get far enough in to kill them. Seems like you wouldn’t even be able to move fast enough to get more than a millimeter of a limb in before it got hit. I guess your momentum is what keeps you moving into propeller blades?

My great-uncle witnessed a guy commit suicide by walking into a B-17 prop during World War II. My great-uncle was a pilot, and was waiting for his turn to taxi onto the runway, and saw a guy climb out of another bomber and slowly walk across the runway, almost trance-like, into the prop of another B-17. Basically the only thing leg behind that was recognizable were his legs. Other crew members said the guy had said he knew he was going to die on his next mission, snapped, and I guess figured it was better to go quickly on the ground than possibly die a terrifying death in the air.

Follow up question. Would the dead guy have been right? Did his crew go down shortly after? That would be spooky.
I'm sure that detail wasn't remembered or shared.

I am surprised she even made it to the hospital.
