Well......He will think twice before he attempts to slap another woman.

Sometimes men stand up as men. Protecting his daughter is one of those times.

Are you suggesting that he should accept things simply because him standing up may be dangerous?

I'm saying creating a potentially deadly situation over a weed dealer is very fricking stupid! Someone tries to physically harm your daughter in anyway, sure, shoot first. Don't leave them alive to speak in court. But getting shot over a dime bag is a shitty job of choosing your battles.

It won't even be the last time she's offered weed, whether he lives or not. Teach your kids how to handle that themselves.

We, rightly, point out the issue of a lack of dad's in the black community but, when one does act like a dad, this is your response?

“Act like a dad”? Well I certainly understand your point, but a dad should try to set the example of being the more rational, mature adult. Especially if he endangered himself in some way. While there was no obvious threat here, he’s still nursing gunshot wounds and slapped a woman (whether deserved or not).

I want a dad to act like an intelligent mentor. Not someone who gets himself shot giving in to his emotions.

But again infer your point. It was just the wrong execution.

Now apply that logic to a law enforcement officer...if a cop/deputy gets slapped, does that justify deadly force?

The answer to that question is no, though that is considered active aggression and a law enforcement officer can then use intermediate weapons, i.e. whup your arse with a baton and say I was going for your common peroneal, but that’s not a deadly force situation.

As far as the situation in the video, I’ll preface what I’m about to say with how in the current environment of “protesters” attacking people in their vehicles on highways with no where to go, like in the Austin or Arizona instances, I’m all for self defense of deadly force.

However, in this case based on the video, if she was gonna shoot should’ve done it on initial entry; at that point it could be viewed as a car jacking, breaking into extension of home, trapped and do not know their intent. Fear for life scenarios.

Four things to justify deadly force. Ability, opportunity, imminent jeopardy, and preclusion.

She may have had two of the four. The driving away and stopping will be difficult to explain using deadly force.

Do you have kids?

While I agree with this statement, I will go off on anybody trying to sell my kids drugs or trying to endanger them in any way.

That was my point...if she has the right to use deadly force for a slap, then LEO have that same right. Even LEOs don't give up their right for personal defense. They are trained to react differently yet still have the right to defend themselves. A slap DOES NOT give ANYONE the right to use deadly force.*

She stopped and opened her door before he came back to her. Bitch knew what she was doing.
She was going inside to get an Icee. Being assaulted did not take away her right to have a cold, refreshing drink.

Then she looked up and saw that the psycho was coming to kill her this time. She negated the threat.

Yep, I didn’t take it as sarcastic. We’re on the same page.

Having 10 CFR 1049.7 beaten into your head for almost twenty years makes it easy to see that as a bad shoot.

Now, if he was actively punching her in the head or neck area, with size/gender disparity, and she couldn’t drive off, different story. That obviously wasn’t the case.

He'll be OK. It was only .380 ACP.

So the dad was wrong and, in your opinion, the trash drug dealing girl that stopped to shoot him and then sped away handeled it correctly?

This is not in a grey zone of right. This is black and white.

Even if justified. That is a lot of legal bills to pay when she could have just drove off.

And you may get shot just like this guy. Or arrested. Not the best way to handle the situation nor the best example to set for your child.

Terrific ending and would watch again.

A lot depends on what caused the confrontation. Maybe the woman was in the wrong. I mean morally, not legally.

When the crackhead dope slinger was in her car and driving away, how is it protecting his daughter to go yank the door open and slap someone that he knew does not respect the law?

If he had learned in kindergarten to keep his hands to himself, he would not be leaking all over the ground as he laid there.
