Yeah, when I was a little kid, I would think a few hundred bucks is big boy money.

If you're in your 30s still DJ'ing weddings and birthday parties as your main job, it's time to contemplate what went seriously wrong in your life.

eta: most of these types of "DJs" just replay other people's music. Not like actual DJs who remaster and even make their own tracks. Some a-hole with an iPhone can do that. Look, I just edited my playlist, I'm a DJ.

You're not wrong, I got a friend of mine who djs on the weekend as a side gig he does for fun. He usually make between 100-200 an hour. And he's not even a professional.

If I had the patience and discipline to teach myself and willingness to buy equipment I would definitely get into that.

Sorry you're a loser that can't find a real job?

I know, it sucks to not have meaningful skills so you bust out a five year old MacBook and play music to impress little girls.

I mean, it's not rocket science to play music one track after another. Many can save a ton of money by getting a Pandora subscription.

eta: you'd probably think the trashy woman in the OP is a catch.

Well over six figure income is what I would consider big boy money.

If DJ'ing provides someone with the ability to provide for their family, how is it not a real job?
