the woman was renting a house with someone else's shite ton of snakes living there?

From what I understand, the house was nothing but snakes. Snakes lived in the house. The snakes were "owned" by these two. 20 or so we're the woman's and I guess the rest were the Sheriff's.

I mean it's got LP written all over it to.

I keep snakes, but have never gotten into the giant ones. Just too much hassle and take up too much space. And, the rule of thumb with any of the large constrictors is that you should never try to handle them alone. Obviously, this lady skipped that part. They can choke you out just by trying to hang on and not fall. Then the more you pull on them, the tighter they'll hang on.

Same here. As a kid, I dreamed of the day I would own my own home and could devote an entire room to a nice big Burmese python.

Then I grew up. The bigger the snake, the bigger the pile of shite, the bigger the smell, and the bigger the cleanup. I have 4 pythons and 1 boa, but they will all max out around the size of a large rat snake...4-6 feet.

ETA: I guess my Diamond/Jungle cross could get a bit larger - maybe around 8 feet, but I feed enough to keep them healthy but not so much that they grow like weeds.

I never liked constrictors too much, my last 3 snakes were a west african gaboon, indo Chinese spitting cobra and a water moccasin that grew to be a giant.
