This actually happened at my work, minus the beheading.

Guy drove right into the gate and it would have decapitated anyone that was in the passenger seat.

Was a gate like this that was open.

We figured he was on his phone.

Gate was partially open. And they drove straight into it spearing the windshield.

Exactly what happened at my work.

We had a parent do this one morning coming into the parking lot for a student drop off. Thankfully the kid was in the backseat as it was a similar situation. She was going about 30 but just wasn't paying attention.

I’d bet he was either driving fast and/or distracted and just speared the gate without paying attention.

It would be crazy for the gate to just swing out at the exact time they were passing to hit the passenger seat.

It's possible. Pretty windy out there. But it should have been secured. I'll give them that.

If he ran off the road and hit it, that's a different story.
