Thaaaat’s my job
That’s what I do
Everything I do is because of you
To keep you safe with me

A friend of mine died due to suicide years ago and it destroyed me mentally and spiritually. I was in desperate need of healing when I had a dream about him one night. We were sitting in our 11th grade AP English class again and he told me “don’t worry about me, I’m fine”.
I asked him “what’s it like?”, and he looked at me, then looked up and smiled, then said “golden sparkles everywhere, beautiful”. Then my dream ended.
I woke up a brand new person and okay with his sudden and unexpected death. My eyes are filled with tears now that I’m writing this. Sometimes dreams are exactly what we need and they come at the perfect time. No doubt in my mind you were supposed to have that dream about your friend.

Every person I have ever loved that died has come to visit in a dream. Usually only once (one or two people, I've had two dreams), usually at least one year after their death, sometimes way longer.
I love those dreams and look forward to them. They're always happy, with hugs, tears and I love you's. I just wish they'd happen more. There's a few that I miss every day still and would love to see them again because it's been years and I could use the hug.
Life is hard, death is hard. I like to think it's a little glimpse into the beyond.

I've always found these descriptions to be very odd.

Sounds like a nice dream.

Kind of the same. I had a very realistic dream about my dad who passed away about 2 months ago - I woke up crying

They mean nothing. Nobody cares about my dream where I went went back in time and was in the Regulate video with Warren G. Why do they not care? Because it wasn't fricking real.
It was a clear black night, a clear white moon.
Warren G was on the street trying to consume.

I have those dreams every now and then. Both of my grandfathers have been dead for some time now. I can’t even really remember their laughs or voices. But once every few years I’ll have a dream about them and we are talking like they never died. I can hear their voices and their laughs exactly how they were when they were alive. And then I have a realization that they are dead and they start to leave.
I cry and run after them begging them not to go and my Popa always turns around and says “why the hell you crying boy? I’m right here?” Which makes me laugh and cry. Then I wake up in tears. It’s my favorite and least favorite recurring dream. It helps me remember the little things about them.

One of the things I tell my loved ones is if they die, please let me know some way that you are okay. That's what it sounds like to me. I would feel comfort from this dream.

Something in the ether last night?
I had a dream about a guy I worked with 36 years ago that passed around 2002.
He asked me how I'd been doing then mentioned no one is really ready to cross over.
I hope he was meaning himself and not dropping a hint.

Had that happen multiple times. I dreamt one of my kids drowned once and woke up crying.
Recently lost my mom and my brother and had a dream about my brother that had the same effect.
I think it is part of the healing and grieving process sometimes.
