What about my $15k offer on your lot?

No family around you? Those come with a shite ton of responsibilities. You think boredom sucks? Try having too many mouths to feed.

Is this the start of a new Jason Isbell song?

The meaning of life is spending time with the ones you love.
Whether that is moving back home. Finding a wife and kids (idk if you already have them, but if so spend more time with them), making new friends (which is hard to do).

I would give anything to live in the mountains. My wife and I do plan on leaving this shithole Louisiana one day and moving to a mountain town.

You should work at one of those suicide hotlines. Whenever someone calls in and thinks that their life sucks, you can explain that yours is worse.

Amen. I had my upbringing in a rural area until I had to leave it. I’d give anything to go back and have mom yelling into the woods for me to come eat a meal that grew, both the meats and the veggies. Oh, and her homemade biscuits or cornbread.

I'm about to start building a house on 17 acres in the country. Right now I live in the city and its killing me.
