I love teaching, I did substitute teaching which is what caused me to want to go into teaching. So even though I graduated with a degree in mass communications I moved into teaching

Does anyone think the MSY airport could still be shut down on Thursday? I'm supposed to fly home from Houston.
In fact I am supposed to fly out tomorrow night but looks like I'm about to get in a rental and drive there in 3-4 hours.

I do but again I hate winter storms because of their extreme unpredictability. As it has been stated several times in this thread by other posters, if the timing is off even just slightly, it could be a bust. I just don't think a bust is happening this time, and my reports are preparing for both Tuesday and Wednesday closures.

I am just waiting for the cone of probability. Winter weather threads are just missing something because 100 people aren't asking how this will affect their trip to the beach, golf game, BBQ, off shore hitch, etc.

Depends on how fast this system gets out of here. One thing I can tell you is that if MSY airport is shut down along with other airports out the country, you may be delayed even if the weather clears out by the time your flight is schedule to depart.
