I love country music but I’m getting tired of Louisiana only pulling country acts. I would’ve loved for Metallica, Ed Sheeran, or Guns N Roses because they just announced their stadium tours too.

Creed came to New Orleans not too long ago and it was a sellout and resale tickets were extremely high. I looked at tickets in other cities they were going to, and those cities were not even a sellout. That just shows how many people are wanting to go see other acts here rather than just country artists.

This would make sense for the May date because he’s going to be in Texas Tech the end of April and then in Clemson the beginning of May. The article said the May concert would have tickets prices around $300/ticket and that’s the lower end of the ticket prices for the concert at Clemson.

Same here. My daughter currently a junior in HS and debating if I want her going there.

My daughter is a senior this year and wanted to stay in state because of TOPS. She used to say she wanted to go to LSU because I’m an LSU alum but that changed a couple of years ago. She doesn’t want to go there because of what the culture has become and the safety. We definitely didn’t disagree with her. She has decided on Southeastern now. It’s very sad to see the drastic change LSU has made.
Thanks everyone! I think we will try to just get lower sideline seats
I’m looking for tickets for Saturday nights game and found some in the skyline club. I read that food is included in this? I’ve sat in the stadium club before is it similar? Does anyone know what type of food is included? Trying to see if it’s better to get these tickets or some lower non-inclusive ones for the same price
We are planning a Boston/Cape Cod trip over the summer. Staying 2 nights in Boston and then 7 nights in Cape COD. We’ve never been to this area. Should we fly into Boston or Providence? It seems like the flights into Boston are more expensive.

Also any suggestions on where to stay in Boston for just a couple of nights? We are going to the Red Sox game. We will have a rental car but I’m worried about public transportation because my daughter will be in a wheelchair so not sure how accessible public transportation is.

re: Sphere in November

We just went and stayed at MGM Grand. It was fine especially because you can just take the monorail from the hotel to a stop that is close to the Sphere. Make sure before you go sign up for Ceasars Rewards and also for MGM rewards. They offer room discounts and you can get them for really cheap even without gambling. I was able to get a comp room and only had to pay the resort fee of $50. Both of these rewards clubs have a lot of different casinos attached to them so you’ll have a lot to choose from for different discounts.
Does anyone have any recommendations for a security camera that I can watch live feed and it doesn’t need WiFi and would have storage so we can go back and review if something was wrong. We are having to put a relative in a nursing home and they told us we could have a camera in her room as long as we don’t tap into the complex’s WiFi. They said we would have to use a hotspot or something with no WiFi. I’m worried about using a hotspot because I know sometimes it gets disconnected and my relative wouldn’t be able to figure out to reconnect. TIA

We are planning on doing the majority walking but my daughter wants my grandmother to come because we have always done 4 generation girls trips and my grandmother loves theatre so my daughter wants this to be a 4 generation girls trip/senior trip, so honestly that’s why I was trying to get in the heart of as much as we could and then if we need to get an Uber or something to other activities we could.

I will check out Summit One because that will be something cool my daughter and I can do just us.

Thanks for all the recommendations. Yes it will be 4 of us and we would like to try to walk back from the shows if possible. I will check into the Marriott. I was also looking at the RIU Plaza Manhattan because that seemed close to all the theatres we would be going to and within my budget. The rooms looked a little small but I don’t think we will be in the room very much.

I’ve been pricing things out for the first week of June, but I didn’t know if the prices typically drop at some point. I know it is really hot there right now, but it looks like the prices are cheaper for say next week compared to next June just didn’t know if July was a lower season to go

NYC hotel for girls trip

We are planning a trip for my daughter’s senior trip to NYC the beginning of June. It will be 4 of us going staying for probably 5 nights. The main thing they want to do is see shows so we are planning on seeing a show every night. This is our first time to NYC so during the day we will hit some of the “must dos” 911 memorial, Central Park, shopping, the Met, Statue of Liberty, etc. What would be the best area for us to stay in? I was looking and thinking something close to Broadway since that is the bulk of our trip but I’m not sure. We were trying to keep the hotel budget around $2k but will go up a little if needed to get in a good location.
It’s a horrible tragedy and my heart breaks for the parents, campers and everyone involved. I had never heard of this place until now.

On a news channel this morning they were interviewing a lady who had been a camper at this camp before. She said it was known for flooding. Two of the years that she went to the camp it flooded and they were stranded in their cabins and couldn’t go anywhere. She said one year they had to zip line food to the area she was housed in because of the flood waters. After hearing this, my thoughts are if it’s that prone to flooding then the camp needs to be moved. Definitely not placing blame just a genuine question and concern for other camps that might experience this as well.

If we want to have a debate about placing campgrounds on a river or in a watershed, that seems to be a more productive conversation than blaming budgets

This is what I agree with. On a news channel this morning they were interviewing a lady who had been a camper at this camp before. She said it was known for flooding. Probably because it’s going to be 105 Heat index

Yeah we just can’t have her out in that kind of heat and sun with absolutely no shade. We will definitely look at Barrett’s.
This is our first time to Omaha and it was a last minute trip. Our young child is with us and we can’t bring her in the middle of the day heat today for the game so I’m going to a restaurant with her to watch it while the rest of our party goes to the game. Can yall give me some good ones that will be full of Tiger fans to get a fun experience?

We are staying in Council bluffs

We just booked a hotel here. We have never been but wanted to go for the weekend even if we might not be able to get tickets. Have you stayed here before? Is parking by the stadium an issue? Is it an OK area? We will have our kids with us. Now trying not to stress about not having tickets. Hopefully we can find some for a good price but we will be ok watching it from a restaurant just to soak in the atmosphere.
We did this trip and it has been one of our favorites.

Flew into Phoenix and went to a diamondbacks game then the next day headed to the Grand Canyon and stayed 2 nights. Then we drove to Kanab, UT and stayed there as our home base. We stopped in Page on our way. Kanab is a great central location. We went to Zion one day, Bryce Canyon another day, UTV tours based out of Kanab two different days because we enjoyed them so much, some hiking around Kanab and went to the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary and got to bring the sweetest dog on hikes with us.
I’m on the LHSAA app. They posted in the Live Oak baseball page they are streaming it for free and I can’t find how to get to it in the app.
I can’t figure out to watch Live Oak on the app. Can anyone help?

The fire reignited and it’s not looking good based off pictures.
