I went to Miami a couple summers ago and they were still poppin there. I don’t understand why they don’t sell to Kroger honestly. Dillon’s here in Wichita did a while back and was still able to keep store branding and such. I think they just run as a “division” of Kroger or something like that.

Yes, now I’ll just go to the Pig and Publix. As Elmer Fudd would say, “Futt dem!”

frick Winn-Dixie and their rotten meats. They fooled me enough times to never return. A new name won't fool me.

Looks like I will be banning the former Winn-Dixie from my grocery shopping. I detest political correctness.

Plenty of people of different races shop at our local Winn-Dixie because it’s the best option but if this happens it looks like I’ll be back to shopping at Jack Browns. This crap is ridiculous and I’m over it.

Give in to the extortionists. That always works. They will just stop demanding things.

It's funny that Dixie Maid hamburgers has been in an all black area for decades and is ran by all black people. They don't seem to have a problem with their name.

a rebranding was probably needed anyways, as I can't imagine Winn Dixie is thriving

if you can score some virtue points on top of it, even better

My exact thoughts. W-D has needed a rebranding for a while now unless they are happy being a the 3rd rate grocery store they are in many markets.

I'm from Napoleonville, and some of the movie was filmed in my great aunt's house where we would have family reunions when I was a kid. Not a bad movie.

I’d go to the one by my house if they figured out how to open more than two fricking registers at peak hours. Until then I’m not too worried about what they want to call themselves

I wish they would just change the name from Winn Dixie to HEB. I would be very HAPPY, to say the least.

how do they cater to BLM? specific foods only?

By featuring foods that are more "soul food" (is that OK that I say this?) than "regular food"

Advertise a lot of cheaper store brand items, whereas Publix will advertise more of nicer meal combos and healthier food choices.

Case in point:
