Gen X and Y currently make up 40% of the US population, and increasing daily.

Boomers are about 20%, and of course, decreasing daily.

It should be pretty easy to elect someone who would end SSI, if the really want to.

But the United States doesn't have an income problem, it has a spending problem. Just the $2.3 trillion wasted in Afghanistan could've fixed it. Or the trillions wasted on the next Afghanistan (Ukraine?) Or the next Afghanistan (Iran?) Or the next or the next or the next .....

Or the $500b increase Trump wants to give the pentagon.

That too, plus 1,000 other things. The federal budget needs to be about 20 percent of what it is currently.

If I pay into something it it not an entitlement. Don't care what it "seems" like to you because it is not a matter of opinion, it is a fact. Only an idiot has an opinion about a fact.

Greedy boomers? 'Nuff read. Another idiot sheeple. Hope you have a good life.

You were robbed.

What you paid in no longer exists.

If you are requiring theft from your kids and others to receive your money, that’s a welfare entitlement.

It’s ok. Keep receiving your welfare.

Just another welfare leech in a long history of welfare leeches.

The social security program is fricked.

The only way to salvage what’s left of it is to remove the income cap for contributors and pro-rate it based off of monthly income for those receiving it.

At this point if you're counting on social security as your sole source of income in retirement you're likely screwed.

I'm planning for it to not even be solvent by the time I can draw from it.

Yup. Social Security will be a bonus, because I EXPECT to get screwed

Yea, raise taxes on the younger generations.

It has only doubled from $90,000 to $180,000 in the last 20 years.

Just remove it entirely at this point.

Got to love the “conservatives” on here when it comes to their welfare.
