Our local Y's are closed.

The gym (classes are small, ~ 10-15 people) where I do Krav Maga isn't and implemented a number of precautionary measures like telling people if they, or their families feel remotely ill, don't come. Wiping down pads and the mats before and after the class. Still plan on going. Rigorous exercise, adequate sleep, and proper nutrition all help with strengthening immune systems. We'll see how it goes I guess.

My home gym is open 24/7.

You can hang clothes on it 24/7 as well.

They need to close down. Gyms rank 2nd to daycare centers in transmission of infection. They are gross unsanitary places.

I've been lifting for twenty years, not only people sweating all over but wiping their noses with their hands and grabbing barbells. Loaded with MRSA, ringworm/athletes foot, rhinovirus, flu, warts.

Under normal conditions it helps build the immune system but f this covid19.

I stopped going last week. This virus will kill. I really can't imagine that people still want to go anyway. Must be loads of peeps putting their membership on freeze until this plays out.

Swimming laps in large pool filled with Chlorine might be the safest place for me to be.

Yes I think they will. Not saying that I want to it to happen, but I wouldn’t be surprised if this ends up with only grocery/medical visits being permitted. Now that the workforce commission is putting in a paycheck safety net, the more that takes hold, the more we’ll be kept indoors.

God damned urec closed Sunday. I’m pissed. Why not just let us sign a waiver that we know we’re exposing ourselves. I’ve been lifting weights 5x week for over a decade. Not sure how I can just stop for 2 months

I have had a feeling that it would be inevitable that they would close. I belong to Lifetime in Houston and so far they are open but I feel like it is coming and all my home gym stuff is in storage till I move into my new home in a few weeks. I guess I can just do cardio till then. I also haven't trained BJJ at all since this stuff started getting real.

YMCAs still open in Cinci. For today anyway. Who knows. Mostly young folks work out at this one so hopefully it doesn’t.

Have a feeling I may need to order some new pushups bars, a pull-up bar, and some resistance and tubing though.

Mine won’t. Need to go to a privately owned gym. They can’t afford to close.

Chain gyms can afford it

Bro. This doesn't matter if the state or local government orders them to shut down.
