Extremely popular in Europe, better ones in Europe drive like a sports car and get 30+ mpg. Many in Europe have small diesels. Very practical car.

One benefit of the station wagon was that all the kids could crowd into the back space and horse around and they were too far away to really bother the adults up front. I don't know how a modern station wagon could allow that and still meet all the safety regulations.

It used to be fun to ride in the back - having finger-gun shootouts with other cars, signaling an 18 wheeler to blow his horn and watch how scared your driver was when a big air horn suddenly goes off in the next lane....good times.

An SUV is just a tall station wagon.

Some badass wagons out there... m5 wagon, rs6 wagon both pushing around 600hp. Def would love if my wife had one of those I'd be driving it all the time.

Personally I'm not a huge fan. Just don't like the overall look of station wagons in general. The Mazda one does look nice though

I think the current generation Opel Insignia wagon looks way better than the newer model. Twin turbo V-6, AWD, Manual. I really wish they would have brought this over to The USA.

I own a station wagon and I'd consider a Buick Insignia wagon.

I do not care if they come back into style. Today people drive lame crossovers that are basically minivans without sliding doors. They are in no position to judge our sedan-based station wagon.

That Buick/Opel is a nice looking vehicle. The current Regal Turbo is a very good vehicle aside from having a small back seat.

We have a Subaru Outback, which is a wagon version of the Legacy sedan. Would not mind an Audi Allroad or XC70 next time around.

I would drive on. My dad drove wagon's mostly because of his work. He was a pipe organ builder and needed the room to transport pipes from his shop to various churches. It just made sense to use a car that worked for his job as well as family.

I like the English terms of "Shooting Brake" or "Estate" better maybe we should just give up the American term of station wagon and they well sell better.

I am a huge station wagon fan, and last purchase was the current Camry station wagon, the Venza.

I used to want one of these back in the day. Seats as many people as a Suburban and had a nice 5.7l engine too.

I'd take a mid 90's Volvo 850 Turbo Wagon right now.

Yeah the "Way back" all the older wagons did that. None of the new ones do though. Shitty.
