Yeah, this is what a divided nation needs: more division porn.
It is an AppleTV+ movie, nobody is going to watch it

People of all races have been evil.
Just seems to be quite the flavor these days. I can't remember the last interracially casted movie that featured a bad black guy. Maybe this will be a good story, but I definitely lost respect for Will Smith.

I detest the mixing of Hollywood and history. Hollywood never gets it right.

Interesting way to look at it, even though they clearly say that his life story is a fabrication of the author.

The story is real. The piece the author wrote about it in 1863 was fake because for some reason he didn't care enough to get the facts.

I like Will Smith the actor, but his wife seems like a crazy manipulative bitch.
She used to be kind of attractive and I guess she has aged well, but Hollywood people have a different set of "norms" than the average family.

Demolition Man. Snipes was phenomenal.

How long do you expect white consumers, generations removed from this era, to keep paying to watch these gratuitous films about how shitty their race is?
How long will we carry the lie that slavery was exclusively black or exclusively American?
How long are we going to lie to black kids, telling them whites are evil and America isnt the best place on earth for people of color to thrive?
Just wondering. Because as far as I can see, we are on the brink of bringing back segregation and institutionalized racism in the woke era - and that's the OPPOSITE message that civil rights era Americans like myself were raised on.

Yes. Black people are more likely to experience keloid scarring. Any cut might result in them. If you notice people with fraternity brandings many are raised keloids.
Why did this get 3 downvotes? Are people really not aware of this?

Thrilling, another movie about slavery. Just what we needed to foment more racial divide in this country.

Well, "Best Picture" and "Best Actor" are locked up, better luck next year.

More white people evil crap. I want to be surprised Smith is even getting roles this quickly, but then again I am not. The black trauma stuff sure seems oversaturated, but what do I know.
Its a movie about historical events. There are a lot of movies about historical events. Its probably the best time to make a movie like this in terms of making the most money on it as possible.
The black trauma stuff? Dave Chappelle got cancelled from a venue in Minnesota last night. I think his people was able to quickly find another venue, I don't think it was as big as the one he got cancelled from, but how does that fit into your "black trauma" theory?
Will Smith is still a really good actor. I think he is a bitch for what he did to Chris Rock and I think his wife is as crazy as a shot at rat, but he is still able to play a part that will make the movie better by him playing it.

The picture is indeed horrible. But what did Gordon do to receive such a level of corporal punishment?
The question is never asked.

It's clear from this garbled nonsense that you don't understand the term "black trauma."

He said the black trauma bullshite seems to be saturated. Is he referring to Will Smith or the movie being about "black trauma" because if its the movie about a slave that escaped.. I would imagine there would be some trauma involved in that situation.
I know what it is, I am trying to understand how it applies to this story.
