Look, I know both CNN and Fox are biased. One is conservative and the other is liberal, but Fox is more obvious.

The legislation puts the limits on the municipalities, not individuals. A lot of cities already have limits at or below these limits they did on their own. If the state wasn't trying to conserve Fox would be all over them during the next drought about why California is so wasteful with their water.

Can't believe fox is citing zero hedge who ran with the story from the daily prepper.

Its going to cut into Beverly hills washing sidewalks.

How do you fill a pool?
I see a cottage industry in collecting rainwAter for pools.

In one of my former HOA they won't let you divert rainwater for irrigation so it fills the lake.

California dept of forestry recommends deep soak watering of each tree, monthly.

Did you read the above post? People get 55 gallons a day.

Look, I don't like the government having a lot of power over us, but when it comes to natural resources.. especially something like water.. I don't have a problem with the government saying "hold on.. we only have so much water in the reservoir and to be on the safe side, need to do a few things to preserve it".

I always wondered why do we flush with clean water?
Wouldn't it make sense for the sink waste to fill the toilet?

It's a brilliant move and could help alleviate the homeless situation too.

A family could take in a couple of homeless people, and add to their daily allotment of water. Since homeless hardly ever shower, bathe or drink anything but the hard stuff it's a no brainer for any household with an extra bedroom and a good exhaust fan.

Endorsing conservation efforts and legislating them arent the same thing.

And no penalty for exceeding other than the fraction of a cent the average user will pay into the $1000 fine the city might be hit with.

It's not about the application of how much you get, it's about the principle that the government can limit how much of a natural resource you can consume.

With a finite supply, what is a better method? Just a couple years back their reservoirs were insanely low. First come, first serve for the CO River and the reservoirs would not end well.

It's because the vast majority of media is now controlled by a few corporations. So depending on what your agenda is, that's what you push. News is now PR.

Just screw that. Been pumping water out the ground in my pond the last 6 weeks 24/7 at 1750 gallons an hour. WTF would they say about that?
