I can attest to the fact its insane how much water we use. I had to turn my plumbing off for a day so I got 3 5 gallon buckets expecting us to simply be able to brush our teeth, flush for a #2, etc. and survive fine.

Hell I refilled those damn things 3 times before lunch time.

Low flow shower heads use around 2.5 gallons per minute...so a 5 minute shower would use around 12.5 gallons.

So bath tubs are a thing of the past now

It establishes 55 gallons per person per day...That is a lot of water overall. Front load washers only use around an average of 20 gallons per load...some use as little as 5.

Newer toilets actually use a little over 1.5 gallons per flush.

The average dishwasher uses 6 gallons per cycle.

Low flow shower heads use around 2.5 gallons per minute...so a 5 minute shower would use around 12.5 gallons.

In theory, taking a 5 minute shower, a load of clothes and 3 toilet flushes and a washing a load of dishes would use around 45 gallons.

Also...remember that this is 55 gallons per person per day. So a 5 person household's limit would actually be 275 gallons per day. While everyone will be expected to shower, and use the toilet...you probably aren't going to do 5 loads of laundry and 5 dishwasher cycles every day...but if you did, you would still be about 50 gallons under the limit...allowing 10 gallons per person to cook, clean and drink. So, while it is a very controlling legislation, it isn't as limiting as it may appear.
Now what are you doing bringing facts into this conversation? People are just trying to be outraged at libtards in their nice safe echo chamber, and there's always someone like you who ruins the circlejerk by actually knowing what you're talking about. You might have caused posters to learn something today, and it's downright rude.

Edit:

The dumb thing about this is that agriculture and companies like Nestle use so much more water than individuals. It's like setting restrictions on car emissions but letting factories and plants do whatever they want.

Oh and frick Nestle.
Also this.

25(shower)+9 (toilet)=34
60 (laundry)/7 (days)=less than 9 if laundry day is once a week
6 (dishwasher)/2 (for every other day)=3

You are saying you are averaging 46. Add in cooking and filling up dog bowls and water dispensers and you would be around 50/day. And it is 55 per person, so your factoring of laundry and dishes decreases the additional people's indivdual total.

And I haven’t even mentioned other things like watering the grass and garden, filling the pool, cooking, drinking, washing the car, etc.

The law is specifically for inside the house. Don't ask me how they will check it. The municipal water folks will probably get a formula created for it.

Instead of imposing these rules on everyday people they could you know limit how much water the animal agriculture industry uses
