Will American schools resume school as normal in August?

A) Yes, 100% as normal.
B) In school physically, but drastically modified.
C) No, online schooling will continue until a vaccination is discovered.
Update: April 19th: Our Supt. emailed us this evening and we are planning for online instruction for the Fall semester of the 2020-21 school year. From speaking to other university faculty, they are also planning the same. Be prepared all, schools are not going to re-open, it appears, until a vaccination is there unless something massive in testing or data can show otherwise.

Great, let’s keep all these little stupid motherfrickers as stupid as possible. Easier for their government overlords to control them.
And frick the teachers too. They enable this stupidity by never speaking up for more/better schooling, or insisting hat school resume. They just take the time off and bitch about their jobs and shitty pay. They deserve both IMO.

I expect some places to start relaxing stuff early to mid May and then by early June a lot will open up. At least in Texas.
People seem to have moved from flatten to cruve to stomp out the curve and that just isn't feasible. Lots of people are scared of their own shadow with this thing as if it is killing 10% of the population or something. The goal of flatten the curve is to spread this out so we don't overwhelm the hospitals. Whether we start relaxing stuff in June or August or December it doesn't really matter if we don't have a vaccine. People will still get it after opening the economy back up. We can't sit around with our thumbs up our asses for 12-18 months.
I'm sure some measures will be in place to help keep the spread down but i wouldn't expect anything drastic. More testing will also be key to helping go back.
