On second thought I'm starting to think she made this shite up. She was probably on the phone and fricked up pumping gas. Claimed she got clubbed to cover up being dumb.

And now I'm starting to doubt the whole story. OP just making shite up for internet points

The sad fact is that badgering and nagging the police to do their job usually results in the opposite result of what you are looking for

That's what the smurf at the next pump was for. If she was unconscious Smurfette steals the car, picks up the guy, and they go ditch it after they take everything valuable.

why couldn't dude with pipe hop in the car and steal it himself?

This would never happen to my wife because I'm convinced she doesn't know how to use a gas pump. Every time I get in her car the needle is like off the cluster past E.

Same thing for me. Stolen wallet out of car, got calls from Amex about these idiots trying to use my cards for gas at Racetrack in Gonzales. Drove to Racetrack and cashier pulled tapes for me.

Piece of cake.

We did. I called the gas station and corporate. The answer was "get the cops to request the tape or a lawyer". We tried the first. Working on the second one now.

The idiot tried to use my debit card at the gas station ATM to get $400 out (my bank sent me a text about this one). Then went outside and used it at a gas pump (on credit $50). Then came inside and bought a sprite, chips, and another snack and asked the clerk for $100 cash back (didn't get the cash back). I told her what happened and after seeing the tapes, she was pissed that she didn't pick up on how suspicious he was.

I got the guys license plate number, picture, step-side white crew cab f-150, clothes, where he drove off to, etc. for the detective. Then it took them a YEAR to do anything and give it to WAFB to see if anyone knows who it was.

I shot an intruder when I was 12 years old. I thought it was my older brother trying to scare me at the window so I went to the window and jerked open the curtains. It was not my brother. He proceeded to break the window payne, unlock and pull up the window. I went to my Mom and Dad's room and got my Dad's handgun from his nightstand and shot that fricker in the stomach. My 16-year old sister was at home too but she was on the phone being a teenager and didn't hear anything until the two gunshots. The guy lived but had a colostomy bag for the rest of his days. He had a long rap sheet involving sexual crimes, so I think he was there for my sister.

The outcome will always be uncertain, so my philosophy is the same as my Dad's. Arm yourself, and in this case your wife. Just for good measure.

Go show up at the gas station and tell the clerk what happened. Hopefully there is a different manager on duty than who you talked to on the phone, and they will work with you.

Man, I am so sorry to read this story. I am however, not surprised in the least. The sheer amount of absolute human trash that walks the seemingly-safe suburbs of Americas hunting for victims is mind-boggling and growing exponentially. To anybody who remembers a functional, competent, morally-confident America, this is really depressing. Sherwood and i-12 for instance should be nuked. That's probably where you will find your perps.

Yeah that's a one person job unless she was just a lookout.
