This new article hints that Buford may have been involved.

RIGHT!

Kill my wife and blow half my face off to make it look good.

Does it mention that Buford hunted down and killed nearly everyone that was involved?

What would be in the coffin after 56 years? Just bones at that point?

Supposedly embalming preserves the body.

I don't that much about it but I remember that was something they talked about in the popular documentary The Staircase. That was the film where the guy's wife died "falling" down the stairs but had injuries consistent with a beating and 20 years earlier his neighbor and friend had also died the exact same way over in Germany. They dug her up too and did an autopsy.

Kirksy McCord Nix, the stateline mob, and Dixie Mafia were all in on that killing and tried to kill him as well.

She's dead, he's dead, unlikely anyone alive who was involved. Seems like a waste of time and taxpayer's money to have the TBI investigating this.

Think about the value there is to certain modern people in our "justice system" in tearing down the legacy of a law man who actually cleaned up crime.

Often governmental corruption is so deep and pervasive that it takes a generation or two to die off before the truth finally comes out.

It’s hard to put a price tag on truth. However, we can question the motives of modern day officials. It’s easier to rewrite history when there’s no one left to combat the narrative they are writing.

I doubt the truth is their ultimate goal. Why do they want to cancel Buford Pusser?

Well, hell, there are lots of choices for prosecution - Joe Don Baker is still alive, as is Bo Svenson AND The Rock.

They will have to hurry to get JDB as he's pushing 90.

Nope.

Here very soon you're going to find out it was Buford. Take it to the bank. That's all I can really say about it.

All other crimes in Tennessee must have been solved.

Please tell me we aren't going to do that thing where people post about something, imply they have secret inside knowledge and then say "I can't talk about it." GTFO with that.

What if they were presented with new evidence that made it an easy slam dunk? It would be a shame not to officially close the case.

What is it that you know but can’t say on an anonymous message board. Trust me your “inside info” isn’t the key to anything, so my might as well say it.

Can't say. Once the investigation is closed I can tell you more.

Buford did it. Check back in with me after they announce it.

I don’t think Pusser was involved. He had his face shot off in the attack.

His daughter still lives in Savannah TN. (He never had a son. That was just part of the movie)

I don't understand what you can glean from a body that has been dead that long.

bone marrow is sort of like blood, if you were poisoned, there might be traces of it found in your bone marrow.

that said, why???????????????????????

everyone who might be charged with a crime is long dead now, so this is just about creating a narrative to ruin someones name with suspect methods at best.

Every single part of his story that night is easily disproven. Why did he lie about the entire event?

Would your opinion change if they had new evidence that was indisputable?
