I figured it would be obvious I was pointing out the objection that would strike the types of people who don't like male based naming systems.
You aren't going to satisfy them by changing traditional naming systems. Their solutions don't work and no working solutions make them happy.

It's not so much that they decided for her to keep her last name as it is that he decided to go SJW and blog about it.
My current wife still hasn't changed her last name (only married since September 24th) and if she were to want to keep her last name, I'd have no issues with it. Not because of "women's rights" or anything. Just that I don't care. It's not a big deal to me.
But we are headed to the SS office sometime after the first of the year to do it anyways, because she wants to.

My wife and kids having my last name were a pretty big deal to me. I've got no great reason for that, but it was important. However, if it is a big deal to me, I can appreciate that it would/could be a big deal for a woman as well. If a woman runs into a man who doesn't care one way or the other, that is fine by me, but it isn't something that is/was negotiable to me.
That being said, writing a blog about it is a bit much and being offended by such a decision from someone else is as "beta" as it gets.
