Couple things:

1. That picture would be a lot better if it weren't 97° with 99% humidity.

2. You're drinking bud heavy....
It's not even football season.

Your'e trashy opinion is invalid.

I drank so many IPAs at nottoway this weekend that Indians are bottling my sweat to sell to the food and drink board.

Besides, I have things to do today.

Yet you post on here. So you like the team but don't like anything else about the state?

I don't understand it

Yep. A few years ago when we were seriously considering moving to Seattle, this was a big issue that really kept us from going all in.

We have friends that live up there and that is their #1 complaint.

Exactly. I left the state when I graduated from LSU.

Huh? If you moved away from Louisiana and your family stayed, wouldn't it make more sense for them to travel and see you? I mean you're familiar with the place they live, they've spent less time wherever you end up. Unless your family is afraid of leaving the state for some reason, then this doesn't make sense to me.

Ill try to give an honest response

I think for almost everyone, no matter where you're from, there is nothing like home, shitty or not.

Add to that the fact that Louisiana is probably the most unique state in the country and people feel "at home" and with "their people" when they are inside the borders. Coonasses like being around other coonasses. black people like being around other black people. Its just a fact of life.

Also, many people in Louisiana have never lived outside th borders so they dont know if life is better outside the border.

I wouldn't want to live in Louisiana(I did for 14 years), but I can see why people find it hard to leave.

Your entire post is indicative of why you're so damned whiney.

Lol, half the threads on the OT on any given day are complaining about aspects of Louisiana (crime, statues, traffic, trashyness, etc...), but when someone compiles them all together and says Louisiana sucks as a whole you apologists put on your blinders and defend your shitty playground.

As I say in everyone of these threads...I'm not going to sit here and deny that LA is void of problems, but the perception made out of it on the board is exaggerated.

I never know when to take you seriously, and when to not.

In any case, for holidays and such I doubt both of our families would want (or be able) to travel to wherever we'd end up. We have relatively large families and I doubt it would work logistically.

and you always have to remember, that no matter where you think is better than you currently live, there is someone that lives there that absolutely hates it and thinks its the worst place on Earth

You can say this about all but a handful of areas in the country.

And a % of those have never been outside the borders.

It's really quite sad.
