When I see someone use their blinker, I’ll let them get away with murder to reward them and encourage future use. I admit there are times my car’s pillars block my vision of the turn signal but I always yield when I see it.

The real problem is that our society provides financing to the low-functioning. Any slack-jawed moron with a pulse can get an Altima with some fly-by-night insurance.

I think people that don't use their blinkers are idiots. I always manage to get over just fine.

I always use my turn signal. Yet, I very, very rarely have anyone speed up when I do. Probably less than a handful of times per year. Weird.

Why? They can still see you if your headlights/tail lights are on and if you just drive slower. Don't put on hazards if you're not stopped or damaged.

A blinker is a notice, not a request.

My favorite are the ones who are already behind you, see you put your blinker on to change lanes and then get into the new lane and speed up to prevent you from changing and being in front of them.

This part of your post is legit, the rest is garbage.

So you not being able to drive safely in rain constitutes an emergency for the rest of us? Flashers are not for anything other than an emergency, hence why they are called fricking emergency lights.

How is that one any different than someone sees someone else about to get over and then speeds up to not allow it? I'm not speaking of trying to get over in a small gap and the other driver does not want to slow down to let me in, though drivers should make that accommodation as well. I'm talking about there being a significant gap that can easily fit two cars and the driver punching the accelerator to not allow you to change lanes.

The two places this happens is on the Causeway and in NOLA. I rarely ever experience it in JP or elsewhere.

The real problem

The real problem is cars getting so much safer we dont thin the herd when it comes to bad drivers anymore.

You get in 2 accidents in 10 years they should remove the bag part of the airbag and pack the steering wheel with ball bearing. I guarantee there will be less accidents.

I was talking to this old lady because she had her arm in an ace bandage. She had just wrecked her car again, she said. I was saying “oh that’s terrible “ and she said “its fine, Im getting a new one tomorrow “

I see so many accidents every morning when there is really nobody on the road and its a bright sunny morning. How the frick are all these frick tards crashing?

I got a ticket the day i got my license for passing a guy without using my blinker. I made sure i was clear of the guy by a good 40 feet before i swapped lanes and the cop still gave me a ticket.

I was more focused on making sure i was abundantly clear of the guy and shifting my manual transmission and being able to get over before the lane ended than hitting my blinker.

Obviously you don’t live in a big city where blinkers are a sign of weakness.
