Why isn’t there more funding to disprove mankind’s role in global warming?

I feel like if we started funding people to study both sides of the situation we would get a more accurate depiction of what’s going on. I feel like all scientists just agree on humans role in global warming because it’s an easy way to get funding.
Old N.Y. Times article that caused outrage by the left
We need people more like this to be vocal but he received a ton of backlash.

They found liquid water on Mars, son. That's all that matters.

that's not really how good research works...in good research you generate a hypothesis and look to disprove it, not prove it.

Probably...rarely will you find such a large group with such a high rate of agreement over something that has so many extraneous factors

This is going to be an incredible thread.

Something like 90%+ of scientists agree that climate change is a real thing.
If it’s man made or not is irrelevant. We should be doing something to lessen the impact.

Bc you can't disprove mankind's role in global warming.

This article is an opinion piece, not a researched paper on the topic.
There's actually been a fair amount of research done critical of mankind's role in global warming, but you need to read scientific journals instead of public op-ed pieces.

It clearly says it’s opinion. So you are saying the funding isn’t lopsided?

No matter how much money spent on such research, no matter how conclusive the evidence against climate change, nothing would change in the mind of a liberal. They have never encountered a fact they could not ignore or deny. Why spend the money?

Exactly my point. If you're looking for research on the topic then why are you linking to opinion pieces instead of research papers?

I said nothing at all about funding.

Bias, accuracy and ethics aside it doesn’t matter if you are trying to prove or disapprove a hypothesis. The facts do not change. The results are no different. If you believe the studies are being misrepresented for some agenda or monetary gain and want to shift funding to people who will claim the opposite, you arent talking about science.

I can understand not liking the people that get all in your face about going green, but i dont know how in the face of tons of scientific research a laymen can still deny climate change and global warming is being influenced by humans.
there are enough scientists out there that wish it wasn't the case that more would find other things to blame if it were the case.
Also, u think oil companies aren't willing to spend money if it gives them some deniability?

I blame Mr. Socko, not Mankind.

I agree there is global warming I was just wondering why there isn’t funding to disprove humans role in it.

For what purpose? So people that disagree can say Ha gotcha? Really what purpose does that serve?
Recycling
Getting away from fossil fuels
planting more trees
Reducing pollution
Are all good things regardless of whether we are affecting the environment
