I lean right on many issues, and find that liberals are generally way too sensitive and emotional about things, but, climate change is one of the topics where the right really shows their ignorance.

No money to be made in it. Plenty of money to made in "green energy".

Have you not heard of all the fossil fuel companies spending billions of dollars on this EXACT idea?
You should try using that fancy google machine before you go posting your inane shower thoughts on here.

I really miss the good old days when arguing about the environment focused on air/water quality, reducing pollution/waste, and increasing efficiency.
I’m with you. Most everyone can agree about issues like mercury in the water, overfishing, air pollution, deforestation. Yet all anyone wants to talk about is global warming. Just another wedge issue.

That would be bad science but then again most of the research conducted on this topic is bad science too. Anyone who labors under the delusion that current climate change research hasn't been poisoned by politics and money simply isn't paying much attention. Like the gun-control "research" funded/conducted by the CDC before 1996, confirmation bias masquerading as science in order to effect public policymaking. People have no idea how influential governments are when it comes to research, they've never written a grant or spoken with people that do. In academia, the deans and heads of colleges/research institutions are not always the best and brightest but those with a reputation for getting grants and they'll muddy the waters of good, ojective research to get those grants.

Unfortunately this happens on all sides.

In science nowadays it's all about the money. Almost all the money is government controlled. Either get in line or face ostracism etc . You'd have to provide more cash than the government does

Last I checked you can't "disprove" what is true.

because literally every "study" "disproving" global warming is paid by oil/coal companies. There's no other funding because it's just throwing money away.
