Offset BBQ on Government does smoked turkey and it's severely underappreciated.

Because turkey is not popular

As someone who's been in the industry for decades, I can say that turkey sandwiches are the least selling sandwiches on any menu.

The Fair lobby in DC keeps them from opening places. Gotta protect them fair turkey legs.

That's how I view it as well. There are a handful of ways to cook it that make it less bad, but it's a fairly cheap food that you can serve to a large group.

We're also jaded by having cheap chicken; a hundred years ago chicken was one of the most expensive meats you could get. Now its one of the cheapest and its far superior to Turkey in just about every way. Having a white meat bird on a special occasion probably meant more to our grandparents and their grandparents.

I’d go to a fast foo FCC place that served turkey legs, thighs, breast. Add a big ole beef rib option and I’d eat there every day

Eat you some turkey sausage and regular sausage

Tell us which you prefer in taste…
