The crusade against "slut shaming" is about the paradigm in which a man who sleeps around is lauded and a woman who sleeps around is shamed.

Now, the evolutionary reason behind this is deep seated: if a man sleeps with a hundred women and they only sleep with him, anyone who gets pregnant is pregnant with his child. A woman who sleeps with a hundred men and they only sleep with her, if she gets pregnant, we (historically) have no idea who the father is. That creates a burden on society and a rift in the tribe that we don't want.

But with the rise of paternity testing, the underlying purpose behind the shaming no longer exists. But, there's still going to be a lag between then and when public sentiment catches up.
