Why is it that society roots for good people to fail/screw up?

Think about it: how often does a good person, let’s just say a celebrity, make one bad decision, and whether it be an affair, trouble with the law, etc., society seemingly celebrates that person’s failure? It doesn’t matter how many good deeds they’ve done, how much time or money they’ve given to charitable organizations, the community, etc. society turn on that person like he/she is the worst person ever. Anybody else notice this, or do I just need to spend less time on social media?

Because none of us little people ever get a break when we speed or slow roll through a stop sign. The rich and famous can break laws at will and just get probation, or have to go to rehab. The law is the law and each person should be punished according to the law they broke. No slack should be given for wealth or celebrity.

Build one house, it doesn't make you a carpenter. Suck one dick and you are known as a cocksucker for life.

A certain group runs the media hates good men like trump and roots for good men like trump to fail

They also hate trumps friends, especially trumps best friend from 2000 years ago

Everyone I know is rooting for me to succeed. I hear it all the time. "Sure hope you can get your life together". It hasn't really helped me any though.

"a good person, let’s just say a celebrity"

"do I just need to spend less time on social media?"
