Better question is why is anything someone decides to put inside their own body illegal?

That’s simple. It’s because we live in a society. Unless you live on a deserted island in the middle of the ocean, you live among other people. And your personal choices of what you put into your body affects those around you. A prime example of this is places like Portland and San Francisco where they have either legalized hard drugs or just stopped enforcing the laws on the books. The result of this is large swaths of these cities are unlivable to the average person thanks to mobs of drug addict homeless people walking around in a stupor, leaving their filth everywhere, including needles, and shitting on the sidewalks and in people’s front yards.

That’s why it’s a good idea to limit what people can put into their own bodies.

White people like it. If its use in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s was predominantly within minority communities, it’d be illegal like marijuana has been.

They tried prohibition but that really didn’t work.

Still doing it with drugs, same results.

when prohibition started, progressives thought it would empty out the prisons. It did the opposite, it caused an explosion in violent crime.

Sound familiar?

Are you talking about only alcohol, or other drugs too?

Organized crime isn't even a fraction of the problem with major cities today.

Because addicts typically are at the bottom rung of the socio-economic ladder. When they inevitably end up in the hospital due to OD'ing or getting alcohol poisoning, they can't afford the cost such a visit incurs. Who is responsible for paying the check at that point? The taxpayer.

The same people that want us to get Covid shots are the ones that say alcohol is bad

Hmm it’s almost like they’re trying to take away our medicine so they can give us poison

I’m the same way. I don’t drink if I’ve got anything I need to do the next day. I don’t understand how someone can drink heavily daily. Must suck to always feel like shite.

I did dry January and got my body running like a machine. Then this past weekend, went to a Mardi Gras ball and tied one on.

Today I'm still all fricked up. Spent yesterday hungover as hell but even still today, I'm a mess. Eyes are puffy, still feel bloated, etc.

Alcohol somehow gets a pass from society but it is really one of the worst drugs out there.

The better question is why aren’t all drugs legal. Alcohol is not different so why does it get a pass?
