high school kids are starting to gobble them like candy.

So you think it should be illegal because kids are abusing them and not taking them in moderation like they're supposed to?

How's this different from literally every other medication out there?

I don't think it should be illegal. It should just be prescribed more deliberately and I think they are trying to do that.

Elvis Presley got his start on greenies when he was in the army. He went on to have a very prolific drug and music career.

I've been on adderall/vyvanse my whole life basically, I can't remember a time that I didn't take it. I just recently had to go up on dose because by body was pretty much immune to the 30 MG

I put my wrist to work when I'm on it, slap school around so for me it's a miracle worker.

Because spanking is "abusive" so we have to be "enlightened" and modify their behavior with drugs.

I spanked and had a daughter with ADD. She went from failing to principals list after medication. Is it over diagnosed? I have little doubt. Is it nonexistent and simply a discipline problem,? Horse crap. I've seen it first hand in a child who was easily distracted but not hyperactive or a discipline problem.

Non-script users take Adderall.

You rarely see non-script users with Vyvanse.

Fun aside: I have an apartment neighbor who is brain damaged from passing into a comma at a traffic light whilst shooting shooting heroin.

He now eats prescribed adderall like candy and regularly goes on psychotic manic sprees. He's 33 and in year 15 of hos journey to get a "History Degree" at LSU, his apt and education all paid for by daddy to this day.

Don't shove meth down your kids throats cause you, like, cant even, like, deal.

My 27 year old co worker (female) with 3 boys under 12 eats them like candy and never eats.

I think it only stimulates left brain, so you basically kill creativity and visualization...which for most people in school isn't an issue. Not acceptable to me though, I'd rather be hyper and creative.

Addarall is the one thing I still buy. I could get a script for it but I don't want to go to my doctor I already take xanax and lexapro but that shot is a life saver if you have a computer job and you are doing coding or anything like that.I might take two or three a week. Actually what i do is crush and snort them one whole 30 is too much for me one pill is enough for 3 days a good line and I'm good for the day
Only thing is I have to take an anbien to go to bed because I can't sleep on it

No offense but look at this... you can't function without eating (or snorting) pills.. you wake up and have to go to work?? Take a pill. You have to go to bed at night? Take a different one!

I would also put money on the fact that you recreationally take xanax or Percocets just to get fricked up.. true, or no? And don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to shite on you, I'm genuinely curious to see if you being prescribed medication to make you feel normal led you to becoming dependant on pills

No work is getting done after a line of meth in pulling out the lotion and I'm going to jack off for 8 hours straight while drinking delicious fruit punch flavored hi-c. They are both amphetamines but addy is a hell of a lot milder

I'm no doc, but I strongly feel that a good old fashion arse whipping by the parent can cure most ADHD kids.

School sucks, drugging a kid because they aren't interested is bizarre to me. Find something they like and they use that energy to focus and become great at it.

ADHD, true ADHD, is an actual brain disorder... it's a real thing, not something created out of thin air... problem is that it is misdiagnosed a lot... either b/c parents make their kids act crazy in front of the doctor to get it diagnosed, which allows them to get more money from government subsidies, or b/c some will try to get the diagnosis to get the meds...

but don't make it seem as if there aren't very real people out there with the very real disorder...

and yes, the meds are way overprescribed, but again, it's because of the reasons (in large part, anyway) to the points i made...
