My daughter started on Ritalin but ended up on adderal eventually. She's 32 now and stopped the adderal when she as done with school. My recollection when she was started taking Adderal because it was the only time releases type of med available at the time. I could be wrong, though.

I think there are several options now.

Ritalin was horrible. I have a dog shite memory, and I still remember how bad it was to come down off of it. Give me your daughter's number so we can share our experiences

Yeah but it being legal with a script for underage kids makes it very easy for high schoolers to get their hands on it. There's a very high ceiling for abuse with it and even though it seems like a gateway drug, it can be just as dangerous as much harder stuff if abused.

If it is being abused then it is not being used in a legal manner. Do you want to ban cars just because stupid ppl drive drunk?

See, because I actually need it, I don't understand the high some people get from it. Adderall is a downer for me, it puts my mood on the floor, I almost get depressed when I'm on it.

When I used it as a teenager, it helped a lot during school but once it wore off it wasn't a much different feeling than Ritalin was.

I was on Ritalin/Adderall from the ages of 7-24.

And I found that the older I got.. the more distracted I got while using it.

There was more to it than just that but I didn't like how I felt once it wore off. It was embarrassing as hell honestly. Plus I had other kids trying to buy it from me during high school.

so lets see.. make money off pills that I don't like taking or take the medicine and have mixed results.

No contest.

Addarall is the one thing I still buy. I could get a script for it but I don't want to go to my doctor I already take xanax and lexapro but that shot is a life saver if you have a computer job and you are doing coding or anything like that.I might take two or three a week. Actually what i do is crush and snort them one whole 30 is too much for me one pill is enough for 3 days a good line and I'm good for the day

Only thing is I have to take an anbien to go to bed because I can't sleep on it

It's also scary how similar meth and adderall are

I believe adderall is a few different amphetamines mixed together.

And yes, the high is very similar.

Loll no, it isn't. At all. No work is getting done after a line of meth in pulling out the lotion and I'm going to jack off for 8 hours straight while drinking delicious fruit punch flavored hi-c. They are both amphetamines but addy is a hell of a lot milder

Thought I would let everyone who actually had ADD or ADHD know a helpful tidbit.

I don't know how many of you remember Biochemistry. But both ADD and ADHD are a dominant trait. If 1 parent has it, statistically 15 out of 16 kids will have it.

When my wife was pregnant, my son was insanely active in the womb. The lady who did our sonograms actually asked if my wife had any caffeine before coming in....on all 3 looksies. So I researched it, and then asked my BioChem teacher about it.

What are you talking about? There technically no such thing as "both ADD and ADHD," it's just ADHD. And I've never heard any research thst suggests it's a single gene, let alone with that level of heritability.

I honestly don't think your post is even close to being accurate.

His biochem teacher said it...are you questioning a biochem teacher?

Good point. I wouldn't dare question that level of authority.

That is what my teacher said. So I dunno, was going off of that.

Edit: I didn't find a ton of correlation online either. Some, but not a ton.

I know where you're coming from:

And that is much more accurate. It is believed to have heritability just not some extreme level.

Because spanking is "abusive" so we have to be "enlightened" and modify their behavior with drugs.

It is legal with a script just like other DEA controlled substances and not nearly as physically addictive nor fatal as OxyContin/opioids and Benzos.

it's only milder because you are ingesting rather than smoking or snorting, and the adderall capsules are meant to be a slow release.
