Most of the posters on this board are conservative. I understand that you strongly believe in marriage and having multiple kids.

However, as a young man I sometimes feel like the commitment is very one-sided. It used to be where both the man and woman had consequences for a failed marriage. They would work together to improve the lives of their posterity.

Lately, it seems many women just want a someone to save them from their bad decisions in life. Divorce court is so one-sided against men its laughable. There is literally no problems for a woman in divorce proceedings, so it encourages hyper-gamy and possible spousal abuse.

I want to have a family, but I do not want to just be a rescue boat for someone nor a baby-daddy just for the sake of having kids.

So find a woman that is already financially stable without a man.

Don't marry one of those broads.

Don't do this.

Brother - do I have to tell you your value in 2017? A black man who has his head on straight, education, a job and isn't in jail, on probation, dead or otherwise "suboptimal"? You can have your pick of black women (assuming that's your bag).

So - be picky.

Marriage isn't for everyone and I'm a firm believer in "to each his own".

The only thing I despise are absentee parents (usually dads) and I think that is a major cause of some of the societal issues we see today.

Not really true if they're a bread winner or the husband is too broke to pay alimony. But yeah, otherwise, its horseshite.

Choose wisely. Helps if her family has means.

It's all about finding the right woman. Contrary to what most say on here, all women are not crazy whores.

This.

Ends all arguments over money.

Date in your "class" range.

I have hardly heard a hair stylist and engineer having a great married life.

STEM normally marries in STEM or some type of professional job. Well the smart ones.

As opposed to previous decades when men walked out squeaky clean, and women were just made out do be whores etc., and basically deserve any beating they get. And to keep quiet about it.

Dude, it's called a prenup. I don't care how much you love a woman, or how much she loves you, or anything else, a prenup is just a straight up common sense precaution for both sides.

So just find you a strong, independent, woman who don't NEED no man, and it shouldn't be an issue...

Marry someone who's worth a damn and actually has something invested in the relationship.

Set criteria for a potential partner and stick to that. If you don't find it, don't get married. You shouldn't need a relationship to be happy. Staying single isn't a bad option. It's actually a pretty good option. I'd be perfectly fine single.

When the first thing you think of in regard to the subject of marriage is divorce, that might be a good place to start.

I'm a product of divorced parents, and it never crosses my mind that my wife and I may divorce one day. We promised each other that we would jever let anything come between us so much that it comes to that. We discuss everything before it becomes too much of an issue.

But, I found a good woman, too.

Factually incorrect

You just have to find a good woman.
