Why hasn't LSU offered online only degrees yet?

I've seen some major Universities like ASU and Oklahoma get into this game. Seems like an easy way to increase revenue by way of enrollment without increasing your brick and mortar cost.

Email and Moodle goes down once a week. They can't handle that shite.
Plus the school doesn't even have enough money to gurantee we can field a football team next year, and you want to create an online platform? Get out of here.

I think OP was referring to bachelor degrees in which LSU does not offer online.

Ah that makes more sense. Tbh I didn't realize ASU and OU were offering undergrad degrees online. That actually is a good idea.

I spoke with some advisors about trying to take some more classes part time a while back because I was considering adding another degree. From talking and e-mailing with some of the advisors it seems like they don't have the resources to offer even evening or online classes for some departments. Budget cuts have forced many departments to cut back offerings, let alone consider expanding on their offerings.

We could even get rid of some of the smaller colleges in the state because everyone would then have access to a degree from wherever they lived.

They only had like 30 when I was there, and most of them were continuing education classes. Also, you can't finish the course work too quickly. You have to wait to turn in things. Wtf is that about?

No, but everyone in this thread that linked LSU online (which specifically lists masters degree and certification programs) needs to apologize to OP.

Yeah, those are all masters programs. Lol. It got me at first then I noticed all of the required hours are in the 30-40 range. An undergrad degree at LSU is usually in the 120-150 range.
