Logistics and supply chain make a ton of sense. Hell most of our sea lift capacity already is.
You can outsource airlift, trucking, some refueling (the Brits do this). But any actual combat roll would be too difficult to envision anything but a dedicated professional military.

Maybe for supports roles. Not combat arms though.

If you've never read Catch-22, you really need to give it a go.

Are you ready to volunteer to defend this country and join the privatized military? What if they decide to unionize? That would really protect the citizens if the union would call for a strike, huh? Now get over your brain-fart and start using your head again.

With this deep state cia shite we have now. Someone is making money and the worst part is at least half probably comes from our tax dollars.

The U.S. Army brought to you by Carl’s Jr.
That’s why.

Can we just do away with postal service?
In a month.. I'd say I might get something relevant in the mail maybe 6 days. The rest is bullshite spam mail.
This is why I only check my mail once a week. I wind up tossing about 2/3 of it immediately, the rest I set aside because it needs to be shredded (mostly credit card offers).
The only thing I can think of that I actually want is a small inheritance check I receive every month. It's sent by an older relative who didn't want to "go to the trouble" of setting up online bill pay for the account and prefers writing the checks by hand.

The Saudis would just hire our military to overthrow our government. They’ve already hired the Clintons and the majority of the big government republicans and democrats

Ehhh. Anytime you make something like military a “for profit” entity, you run into some problems. Think about this...what happens when the government does something the soldiers don’t like, or someone else offers more money. What’s to stop them from saying “frick you” and screwing you over?

Airports , Cities are paying an arm and a leg, and allowing Airlines to screw them in the booty, when they could sit back and make the money w/o any grief from the industry.

Privatization of the military was one of the things that did the Romans in. No thanks.

Lwhat happens to national security secrets if the firm gets hired by another country?
In any case, don’t you remember what happened when we subsidized trioops with a PMC?

The US military might have its problems, but it is and will always be the US military. Privatizing will make them loyal to the $$$ no the

I cannot believe the amount of uninformed people in this thread. Do you not know how many private contractors we already have engaging in armed combat, ever heard of "Blackwater", or "Triple Canopy" private security contractors outnumbered U.S. troops 3 to 1 in Afghanistan in 2016. Fatalities among contractors in Iraq and Afghanistan are twice that of the U.S. military, these are not all cooks and truck drivers.
