Overall and varieties, yes. Of Italian food, no.

The food in Italy is good and the women are hot but taken as a whole I prefer the variety in the US.

And 60-70% top tax rates. That's reason enough for me not to want to live there.

Absolutely truth. I spent a good amount of time there. Both the food and women, while not bad they are both very overrated.

I know several Muslims that I like but much of their culture is incompatible with Western values. If they don't plan on assimilating then I don't want them here.

Yep. America is a Christian nation. If people don't want to assimilate they can find some other place to go

About a third of it.

Much of the soviet bloc nations wree as well.

How you even thought the idea was something else is your lack of comprehension.

Do all European countries have the same freedoms we do? Pretty sure they don’t but a few allow a couple things that aren’t allowed here so it comes down to what’s best for you. Freedom at its best.

There isn't a country in the world with the diversity of the United States

If you consider all the different tribes of people in Africa mixed in with Europeans left behind from colonization, I'd argue about any country in Africa is more diverse.

But I agree with no one does it better. Prosperity and opportunity here are unmatched anywhere.

It would seem that certain parts of New Orleans would beg to differ and that's just one example. Every city in the United States has sketchy areas. Would you visit South Chicago? Anacostia in DC?

I don't see why you are trying to argue here. All the cities in Europe have comparable poor parts like the ones you listed.

what I am referring to is an entire region of a country. There is a complete lack of government oversight/investment in that area, that makes it seem as if you are in an undeveloped country, not one that I should be jealous I don't live in.

One thing I will admit Europe does better than the U.S. is enjoy their personal and social life.
No. This is an individual trait. There are plenty of lazy do nothings in Europe. Drinking in a cafe and watching documentaries is not much of a life.

They just have a different mindset over there. It's not all about work work work to make more and more money. That's a commendable trait IMO.
There is a huge number of people in the US who aren't about "work, work, work." In fact there are a shitton that aren't about work. You're thinking of a small subset of driven Americans. They have those in Europe as well, they're the super successful.

So let me get this right. You stopped in Sicily on a cruise ship stop and you’re able to make a generalization about the entire region? That must have been one hell of a fricking six or eight hour stop for you to gleen all that from such an expanded amount of time spent there.

Met a few people who were from Germany, now working in the US (at my last job), and I asked them if this was true.

They immediately said it's actually more laid back here.

I think they are a lot of stereotypes about Europe, as it pertains to their quality of life and work environment that just aren't true.
