Why does monkeypox need a name change and why are people triggered by the name?

They'll use the race garbage as the excuse, but this is the real reason, IMO.

Because words don't have meaning anymore, and you can make anything "racist." Monkeys are a thing and have been for a long time. And just because the term "monkey" has been used at some point in history as a racial slur, it can now never be used for anything else apparently.
Just like the tennis announcer that got into big trouble for saying Serena Williams's tennis game was like "guerilla warfare," (which is a widely-known term and accurately described how she attacked at the net) because people accused him of saying "gorilla warfare." Which of course makes no sense since it's not a thing, but gorilla is another term for monkey, which has been used by a racist in the past.
Short answer: because the country/world has gone full stupid.

As usual, racist Progressives are associating the word "Monkey" with blacks. Simple as that.

I'm not sure why anyone would be confused why the party of slavery, and the KKK, can't help but to think of a certain race when the word "monkey" is spoken. So in order to untangle the confusion in their racist little heads, we have to just name them something differently. Apparently that's what woke is now. Renaming things when you are so riddled with inherent racism that you can't differentiate between the 2.

Liberals demand this because the first thing they think of when hearing the word monkey is a black person. Because they are the real racists. Every now and then they do shite like this and the mask drops a bit. Why black people keep clinging to these racists is beyond me. It’s like some kind of Stockholm syndrome.
