When you make a living by siphoning money off of the misery of others, your public image can take a big hit. People begin to think of you as what you really are: a f**king leech.
So the purpose of commercials like Gordon's is to soften that image and try to humanize him. And then maybe you'll hire him to feed off of your misery.

Gordon is the worst. He's completely ruined watching the local news. Have to put it on mute because it's an onslaught of nonstop idiotic annoying commercials.

the entire point of that marketing strategy is just to have his name repeated over and over again to form an association
that's why they buy a million billboards. each billboard is worthless, but a swarm of them is effective

I just want to know why his son has his entire number ripped off his jersey for the commercial
I do find it odd that he's making commercials showing off different parts of his ridiculously nice house, it makes me not want to give him any more business (if I was into making bullshite claims)

He has 14 offices around the state and a couple hundred at least employees. He has built a machine and the machine needs to be fed. That is a lot of overhead that he has to cover each month.
I know a bunch of small firms and those guys are feeling the pinch and a lot of them and the ham and egg sole practitioners are closing up shop to work for him or Peyton, Spencer, the Dudley and the Debossier because they just can’t compete. Take a salary and have weekends off.

yeah those guys came into LC and have hit the market hard
i don't know this, but i'm pretty sure any local guy who sells out and works for them will be blacklisted

It’s happened somewhat in Lafayette too. I’m curious to see if the market corrects itself or if we see other local firms bands together against it

the best i can tell, the 2 big, local, exclusive PI firms have been affected a bit. they've been in business forever so they still have a huge client base. they used to print money so they just make a little less now
there are a handful of solo PI firms (who do work in other areas) who haven't been affected b/c they have an established client base (and cover most of their overhead with work in other areas so if PI lags for a few months it's sustainable)
the smaller firms who are known for non-PI work who also dabble in PI have basically lost all of their PI work, from what i hear
