If you drink alcohol responsibly it hurts zero people.
I agree though that if it’s something that only dangers yourself then it shouldn’t be banned.

Probably because when you drink a beer, the person sitting next to you does not get covered in it.

Not exactly on topic but I remember about 10 years ago when Keith Richards suffered a severe head injury falling out of a coconut tree in Fiji. I thought he was doomed. Even the near immortal demi-gods always had some weakness, I felt sure that was it.

Well, for one thing, alcohol does not get a free pass from government. It is taxed heavily, there are restrictions on how it can be advertised and sold, it is illegal to sell in some localities and on certain days, places, and times. In some states, it can only be sold at state-approved stores. There are minimum drinking ages. I could go on. How is this a "free pass"?
