It’s 21 to drink and 18 to smoke or vape. Both are legal.

I’m confused.

You must not know what meth is. This is one of the dumber things I’ve ever heard.

Because you look way more pathetic when you can’t make the walk from the car to the store entrance without stopping to inhale from a plastic straw.

You could say the same thing for all popular drugs that are now illegal

I'm not clear if you're referring to tobacco or weed. If weed, it was criminalized at the behest of the alcohol industry and remains criminalized due to it's cash cow status to the drug enforcement industry. Small town LE in particular. Weed will make you lazy but nobody smokes a joint and beats the hell out of their family.

I take it most have never had a doctor tell you to have a drink a two a day to increase your HDL's. That and exercise too.

They emphasize ONLY two beers or a glass a wine per day, not binge drinking on Saturday's to make up for the days you didn't drink.

There are health benefits with moderate drinking. No such thing for smoking or vaping. None.

You do realize the consumption of alcohol is government regulated right?

What do you do when you have a bumper crop of some agricultural product? Make booze. Read about the Whiskey Rebellion, great fun there.

For the smuggling side, yes.

However, there was also a large culture of “do it yourself” booze in this country to where “bathtub gin” became a common term.

Are people going to be growing their own tobacco illegally if it gets outlawed?

My doctor told me 6-8. I always follow doctor's orders.

I equate smokers with fatties.

Zero health benefits and they should be paying higher health care premiums for bad habits vs. healthy people.

Add drinking cokes is way worse than moderate consumption of alcohol too.

Mild alcohol consumption is heart healthy. Civilization was founded on bread and beer.

Nothing but dysfunctional drunks in this thread. Just because you have a family tradition of trashy drunkenness doesn't mean its not trashy. Most of you probably don't even have a legitimate excuse for your alcoholism like being molested or being Irish.

I have no trouble with vaping as long as they figure out some standards for it between dosage and the voltage of the pens.

quote:

Studies have found that overheating an e-liquid can cause "thermal decomposition." In some cases, this dismantling of the basic ingredients can create toxic chemicals such as formaldehyde

quote:

One study collected e-liquid samples from different parts of 56 e-cigarette devices owned by daily users. The study's findings showed that the fluid sitting in the device and inhaled by the consumer had markedly higher levels of metal than the liquid in the refillable dispenser. The authors suggest that the device's heating element could be introducing toxic metal substances like chromium, nickel and lead into the e-liquid.

So it seems to me the problem with vaping is device design and the nicotine concentration per dose.
