Birmingham has such little bro envy with Atlanta and Nashville it’s so funny.

Alabama is an absolute shithole full of inbreds. There's nothing redeeming about it.
Especially Huntsville. Huntsville is horrible and no one should ever want to live there. It's worse than Baton Rouge and New Orleans combined.

This is true. You can save hundreds of dollars per ticket driving the 2 hours to fly out of Atlanta. Including parking.

Have lived in big cities in Louisiana, Texas, Florida and Georgia. By a wide margin Alabama is my favorite state.
Don’t get me wrong I love going back to New Orleans, Dallas, and the beach. But for the grind, Birmingham’s quality of life is a perfect fit for me.

I don't disagree.......never had a problem with bama myself. It's easy to find cool people in any state, especially outside of urban areas. I went to France in my 20's. people we met in Paris hated our group just b/c we were American. Folks in the rural communities we visited were happy as hell to meet us and show us their place.

I personally like living in an area that is basically recession proof like the Huntsville/Madison area. If you have any experience in the tech or engineering fields, you don't have to worry at all about finding a job. And it's still has the "small town" vibe that you don't get in the bigger cities that you usually have to go for more job security, and is still a relatively safe area.
Now how long that lasts, who knows. There sure are a lot of transplants flooding into the area, so who knows how long the Huntsville/Madison can maintain the laid back "small town" vibe. It wouldn't shock me if in the next 10 or 20 years it starts suffering from growing too fast with so many transplants.

The state is ok. I prefer to stay well away from the western half but others may be ok with it.
