You can't drive in those lanes without every single person around having to go to the next aisle out of pity, or no space to get around.

Fat? Stupid? Old?

What is the issue baws?

If you have never participated in the Walmart Gran Prix at 3AM you haven't lived, baw. Three specific laps and you must come to a complete stop and pick up your specified brand and type of beans on the second lap (your pit stop) otherwise you are DQed. You needn't participate if you are fat though, weight is a major penalty in top speed.

Pshhh... An sr-71 blackbird is 60k lbs.

Given it's 2193 mph top speed, we have a nearly identical weight to speed ratio.

Why are they even necessary anymore with pickup being available?

The worst is when they don’t pay attention and keep running into displays.

Or you see a mom and her kid both riding one, the kid obviously using it as a toy.

And the associates aren’t allowed to say anything

Meanwhile granny who really needs one is up front waiting patiently for one to be returned.

So I can make prolonged eye contact with the fatty struggling to waddle down the aisle because I took the last scooter and don’t need it.

I've used one of those buggies just twice in my lifetime of late and that is due to my having had ankle fusion surgery and not being able to walk without crutches for now. Kind of hard to push a shopping basket while using crutches.

Not all people who use those buggies are fat, lazy slobs who would be better off walking-----------but a lot of them are.

That’s right. Just a bunch of baws who are 5’10”, 240 lbs who only need to lose 10lbs. They’re healthy though. They used to lift weights in high school.

I hate seeing able bodied people in those things... these the same people that leave the buggies in the parking spaces...

I am handicapped, I can do about 20 minutes in a grocery store before I have to sit, it's not from weight, although I could lose a few, it's degenerative spine disease. However, I'd rather slither on my belly for a can of beans before I'm caught in an electric cart.

It’s called handi-fat for most. The exception being some racing as Obtuse pointed out, which is a full contact sports and more like Mario kart than traditional racing.

I was in Rouses on Carrollton Ave. one day about 2 years ago and there was a 40 something yr. old woman and a 20 something yr. old daughter, each in an electric cart.

A quick look in their baskets and all I saw was cookies, chips, sodas and a bunch of boxed and canned processed food. Not a single bag of fruit or vegetables in sight. The total weight of the two had to be close to 600 lbs. by my best guestimate judging by their size.

When you have arse cheeks looking like dog ears off the sides of the seat, you're too damn fat.

When I did need a Walmart motorized cart after knee replacement surgery on my first 2 post-op shopping trips, the cart batteries died as I reached the rear of the store. Had to abandon the motorized cart, walk to the entrance of the store with my walker to get a regular push cart. Then had to walk the push cart to the abandoned motorized cart, transfer my groceries to the push cart and slowly finish my shopping! Those incidences made me give up trying to use the motorized carts and I continued to use push carts after that. Those incidences may have contributed to a faster surgery recovery! I felt sorry for others who were not as able. Thankfully, store pickup is available now.
