The constitution specifically mentions hanging as a punishment for some crimes. It must not have been considered cruel or unusual. Let's just do that.

I call bullshite.

The state of Texas executed a man in the 21st century and A LOT of stuff has come out to suggest that he was actually innocent. If anything, what we do now isn't good enough

see? 1 man is the only example you have of the 7% and him being "innocent" is merely "suggested"

You sound like BLM hyping police shootings.

Firing squad does not equal gun to your head. Also, numerous people have been shot point blank and survived (my own uncle shot himself in the temple and survived and died on the table a few hours later). What do you propose is a full proof way to insure instant death that wasn't excessive in the application of force?

Glad to hear how comfortable you are with the state murdering so many innocent people.

Or are you somehow unaware of just how many people have been exonerated from death row?

Why does it have to be painless. The victims of their crimes certainly didn’t have this option.

We actually should be doing more of it. We have some evil pieces of shite that are still allowed to breathe air after doing some despicable crimes.

I ageee and I’m against capital punishment for the most part. But if we’re gonna have it then why does it have to be so complicated? If I am going to be executed then I’d rather firing squad or guilotine rather than some frickin cocktail that might have these crazy issues with it. Same w the electric chair. Just shoot me

Yeah, I'm with you. Too often we confuse "innocent" with "a bunch of biased SJWs and nuns looked at some dusty old files and decided they knew better than the jury that was actually there."

As of November 8, 2019, the Innocence Database from Death Penalty Information Center shows 167 exonerations of prisoners on death row in the United States since 1973.

i used one specific example in very modern history to make my point. There are websites that track this stuff

And even if it was "only" one person. That alone is a catastrophic failure

I’m a big fan of hangings. Definitely the way to do it imo

Drop them out of a plane, halfway across the Atlantic. Give them all the food, drinks and drugs they can stand and then dump them. If they live and can make it to land, then they are free to go..

5 ton block of steel lifted up 20 or so feet and held up by a pulley system. Limb straps on the floor.

The first shot actually paralyzes them so the rest of the world cannot see the unfathomable pain that comes from the last two injections.

I kinda think if there were public hangings the crime rate would be lower.
