The US population is a champion of non compliance
You put the US population in Chile and the average lifespan would plummet.

You go to Monaco for medical treatment, huh?
Very true. Lifestyles and quality of life have a major impact on these studies.

My question, if US docs are soo much better, then why are 60 year olds in Cambodia, Peru, Greece, Venezuela, etc, etc expected to live as long as or longer than Americans?
US diet.

Yep - We all know the stories of people flocking to those utopias of healthcare Columbia and Singapore to get their cancer treated.

They used to be the best. Affirmative action has completely ruined medicine. There are a ton of quacks out there.
There are quacks our there, but the vast majority of the blame lies with the US population.

American doctors suck. The real reason we're able to maintain such a long life expectancy while also being very unhealthy as a whole is because we have access to the treasure trove of medical information and wisdom found on Facebook.
Those stay-at-home moms aren't cooking and cleaning all day. They're doing valuable medical research that actual doctors simply don't have the time to do, since they spend their days bilking patients for every last cent.

Most of the world: shitty doctors, healthy population, unhealthy ones don't last long.
United States: amazing doctors, fatass diabetus population that would have long been dead if not for the amazing doctors.
There, you now have your answer.
this
but also, Oxford, Cambridge etc are renowned medical schools too. But the US just has so many. It really comes down to the US and the UK.

seems like a simple knee-jerk response because you think it supports your beliefs. but the trend is historic, and most elderly are't part of the supersize me generation. (ps most of the US doesn't have the same fast food per capita that the South 'enjoys')

Oh I know. Good doctors in Germany too, even though the facilities suck balls. Which is why I said "most of the world."

Because we live like shite and still live that long

I wasn't arguing, just providing some context (for the OP)

You have actual healthcare professionals in this thread telling you this.
You're the one ignoring them because it doesn't support YOUR beliefs.
And I can tell you've never traveled outside the US and had to be seen in a healthcare center in another country.

A better indication of the quality US doctors and hospitals is simple: people in other countries would come to the US for complex medical problems and treatments.
People are not going to Monaco or Colombia for their medical services...

35% are considered straight up obese, not overweight, but obese.
Scruffy doesn’t care how you disperse that. It affects the country’s statistical data.

Doctors from all over the world
This. I worked at a hospital where the entire Cardiology department was Indian. The Cardothoracic surgeon called it the Taj Mahal. I will say they were excellent doctors.
