Yeah, I am pretty sure my dad never changed a diaper. He didn't even really know everything going on in our lives..
He only knew what my mom told him. And whatever we did on weekends. I think the best days for him were when he was home alone doing whatever the frick he wanted.

Our current dog is our son's. Hes an only child and was very upset after our first dog died. He and new dog entertain the hell out of each other. They make up all kinds of crazy games. Also dog is extremely protective and sleeps with him, which makes him feel safe at night.
I know it's a pain for some people, but making my son feel comfortable in his own home is more important than folks dealing with a little barking when they knock at the door.

Dogs inside the house is a ridiculous and UNSANITARY concept.
Sounds like you have trashy friends that don’t clean their house or groom their dog. I have dogs. I also have a house keeper. Get fricked.

1. Dog barks loudly as soon as I knock
2. Friend opens the door for me and tells dog to shut up
3. I sit down on sofa that’s covered in dog hair, and try to hide my disgust
4. Dog calms down and goes off to do stupid dog shite
5. Friend says “do you want some food peepdip?” I say sure thanks!
6. Dog stares at me with pathetic dog face the entire time I eat
7. Owner takes dog outside to take a shite
8. I wonder what the hell is the point of all of that.
My dog isn’t allowed in our bed to sleep generally. If my wife ruled the world he’d live up there. But pigs don’t fly and she doesn’t.
Love my pupper and he is clean but not having it. It’s not good for training and in the dogs mind he becomes your equal if he shares your sleeping space.

Because he is my 2nd in command in the pac. He sleeps by my feet to protect me. Or so he thinks.

Yeah I never understood this. Dog can sleep on the doggy bed in living room but never in the sheets with me.
I’ve been lucky and have only lived with a medium sized mutt who was abandoned before. She was quiet and shy so we were the best of friends.

It’s really weird too. We’re in the minority in thinking that dogs aren’t children and shouldn’t share ur bed and should have a special diet that they like.
My little Patch prefers a ribeye diet. Filet makes his tummy hurt.

The day my dog can’t sleep in my bed is the day I sleep on the floor with my dog.

I agree. They are annoying as frick. I hate the barking. I hate the shite in the yard. I hate the neediness.
I enjoy spending time with my kids. The last thing I want is to have to meet the needs of a needy arse animal. And he’s right, they are fricking dirty, and don’t give me that bath them bs. We wash our dogs constantly, then two hours later outside in grass and dirt and pollen and old dog shite (and my sons job is poop patrol, but you aren’t getting all of it) etc running around. Even worse if it’s raining outside and they gotta go out to shite, come trotting in all wet. My pool guy said if a dog gets in the pool to shock it because it’s like 10 people getting in. That’s how fricking nasty they are, and mine don’t even shed. If you don’t think for a second dirt, dander, pollen, etc are building up in their coat constantly you are foolish.
Not to mention, to take care of them properly it’s expensive as frick. Grooming, bathing, heart worm meds, flea and tick pills, checkups, having them spayed and neutered like a responsible person does. Our boarding bill was 800 bucks for two when we went on vacation this year. And don’t even get me started on feeding the frickers. shite is $$$
I guess if you are a fragile, needy person who needs something to love you and need you, knock yourself out. Me? Nah I’m good

If you weren’t poor and lazy then you just might enjoy a dog. Alas we can’t all be elite now can we?

I’ve never understood it either. I don’t get why let let them in the house to begin with, they’re animals.

Like what the frick? Your bed is supposed to be the cleanest part of your house. How the hell can you sleep in a bed that’s covered in fur and dander, next to the equivalent of a small horse?
My dog & linens are both cleaned regularly
My small horse is great at keeping my feet warm
