It's called reading between the lines. Conservatives have mastered hiding their racist beliefs behind coded language for decades now.
Are you serious here? So basically someone doesn’t have to actually be racist or homophobic you just have to think they are?

I know exactly what cancel culture is. And all I have seen throughout these 11 pages is people complaining because now people are losing their jobs for saying the N Word online instead of getting away with it like their grandfathers did 60 years ago.
You live in a pretend world if you think this is about the N word.

So you start the OP with this:
Then later on state this:
Then post this:
All the while still refusing to acknowledge the posts referencing the open letter warnings of 150 classically liberal intellectuals.
You are a troll.

Is "cancel culture" not just another way to say "protest?
Then later on state this:
quote:
I wanted to see if someone could adequately explain how cancel culture is different from regular protesting and no one has been able to do so.
Then post this:
quote:

You’ve got some talent as a troll, but you need to throw in some comic relief from time to time

And there it is..
You probably use the word microaggression daily.

Don't respond to this guy anymore. He's an active supporter of pedophilia. He wants it legalized.

Ya'll, at this point it's clear that he's just trolling.
He refuses to address an extremely reasonable critique of the cancel culture phenomenon (signed mostly by progressive voices no less).

Well you guys have showed me here that there really is no difference between cancel culture and the regular protesting that has been going on for decades now. Just like most southern whites didn't agree with the Civil Rights Movement when it was going on, the same demographic has an issue with cancel culture now. Just know that racism and homophobia will continue to be ostracized in society (as it should) and there is nothing you can do to stop it. More statues of slave owners will be taken down, schools named after Confederate generals will be renamed, and people dumb enough to take their racist beliefs online will be punished. I'm done entertaining you guys for now.

Stop your support for pedophilia. It's disgusting.

You’re so brave...a modern-day Jackie Robinson. Such a crusader!

All these obvious racist images supporting white supremacy are going to trigger the poor guy.

What if I said that Janelle's hill was the tryical black person. Is that racist?

Why do people complain about "cancel culture?"
The answer is elementary. In a civilized democracy which prizes free speech, dissenting positions should be defeated on their merits with responsive argument, logic, reason, and evidence. They should not be met with devastating economic and reputational reprisal that suppresses speech and makes others fearful to voice their beliefs. Only where both sides on an issue are allowed to freely articulate their positions can third parties decide for themselves which arguments they find persuasive and compelling. Cancel culture is oppression that disrupts this basic interchange of ideas. Rather than debate, a mob of fanatics annoints itself as the enforcer of a self-serving "truth" and punishes those who deviate from the approved dogma. That isn't democracy, it is the seed of neo-fascism.
