Not to be sexist, but women look for security in relationships. And most are looking for relationships, not just hookups. Guys are a lot more concerned with a woman's looks than women are in a man's.

When I met my last S/O's mother, I was kind of surprised to hear her tell her daughter "I figured the next one would be older and rich."
Well, the one after me was older and much better off financially than I. They don't look like they belong together, but she seems to be happy.
