Why do Christians have issues with the Catholic Church?

As a Catholic, I’ve pondered this question for years until today. I got an email from church that everyone must got to Mass on Sunday and Monday and that Sunday evening Mass (Christmas Eve) didn’t “count” for both.
For Christ’s sake. It’s pomp and circumstance that partially lead to the reformation and is why the church is waning in the 1st world West.

My Mom certainly can rub Christians the wrong way, with her mantra of "Catholicism is the one, true religion". I know that hearing that will piss of many a Baptist and Protestant.

Christ was against large organized religion. He had a huge rant about it at Temple and kicked tables over. The CC is just the modern day version of the Jewish faith/law.
ETA:
That and the CC basically infiltrated the governments in Europe, made us donated to them, follow their laws or we would be killed and barred from heaven. Sounds silly now, but people took that serious back in the day.

First off Catholics are Christians. Weird a catholic would say otherwise. Every denomination classifies Catholics as such.
I’m a Christian and I feel as though Catholics are misguided. The Catholic Church is corrupt and you can see why they do certain things($). Every church has its faults, I just feel like Catholic Church are money hungry.
Also, they try to make religion way more political than it is. They support the party that supports abortion. That makes me have zero respect for them. If a Catholic is a conservative he is directly defying 99 percent of the high ups in the Catholic Church. I once had a Catholic priest tell me he didn’t believe any real Christian could be a Republican. That’s when I realized it wasn’t the place for me.
