I say this every time this comes up... you get the same amount of daylight regardless of what the clock says. i don't get why people are so passionate about this.

I love the change. I like lighter earlier and dark around 615 or so.

Long live daylight savings time!

you realize this is the opposite of what happens when we go to daylight saving time?

Its an antiquated process and only messes with people's internal clocks.

Try getting teenagers to go to bed earlier or wake up earlier just because the time changed.

Several states do not observe it any longer. Most other countries do not observe it either.

while true, later sunsets allow for more outdoor activity in the evenings.

Me, too.

It is nice right now. Daylight about 6am and dark around 7pm and will continue to get later as we move to the summer months.

The only people that like it getting dark earlier are criminals, thugs, street hustlers, rapists and artists.

And me. I haven't set an alarm click in a few years. I plan my day around available daylight. I don't give a shite what time a clock says the sun is going to come up; I only care that it comes up and for how long.

My sleeping patterns are totally dependent on the sun and outdoor activities, not a clock.

When summer hits, I get up in the middle of the night, go to the lake (usually 3:30 am) but it's irrelevant. Then I catch bait, then fish. I'm off the water before the temps hit 90. Then home for a nap and then whatever the heck I feel like doing based on available daylight and temps.

ETA--screw clocks and time constructs. I had no idea it was pushing 11 am right now. It didn't matter if the clock says 9 or 2. Fish don't care what time your clock says it is, they're doing their patterns based off sun and moon, not your wristwatch.

Also we've had these amazing invention called lights, they work great

You could say this to the standard time people too. Their main complaint is that if it changed then they would have to drive to work in the dark.

Personally, I find daylight after work to be significantly more useful to me than daylight before I go to work.

So then why do you care if it gets dark later?

frick ALL of that.

I want my daylight after work. I actually like it being dark when I go to work in the morning. It gives the feeling like you have a head start on the day.

Change it and leave it, break the knob off.

This.

All of the "cut blanket" shite and "you don't get longer days" people can eat a dick. I want more daylight after work.

The more daylight in the afternoon, the better. Those who want it to get dark earlier than 9:00pm are probably fat and out of shape.

We’ve been doing this so long who knows what “real time” is any longer. Personally, I think it sucks when it’s already dark at 5:00 and I think it’s awesome when it’s still daylight at 7:00 PM.
