Dont be obtuse. Getting up early doesn’t provide the same opportunities that evening sunlight does.

I just know I can't stand getting home at 5:20 and it's dark.

It’s mostly dipshits who want daylight saving time year round.

This dipshit definitely does. I spend the entire winter with my horse flipping the frick out about the dark and scary woods and what might be in them and trying to stay on and not die. The only thing that gets me through it is knowing that daylight rides, instead of shadowy arena light rides, are just around the corner.

Most of the other crazy horse people feel the same way.

it's still daylight late as frick in the summer months.

We're not moving there but we will be taking vacation in the Canadian Rockies(Eastern B.C.) in July and we will be right on the western edge of Mountain Time. It's gonna be daylight till almost 10.

I always wondered why we didn’t just split the difference…spring forward 30 minutes and leave it that way year round. There is no reason we have to do it in 1-hour increments.

That’s because the dumbasses don’t realize that the days are shorter in the winter months and longer during the summer months. Idiots didn’t pay attention during basic science class. Moving a clock up an hour, which is more government bullshite propaganda, tricks their minds into thinking they’re actually getting more daylight in a day. The earths rotation dictates the length of daytime and night time.

Yeah, I F’n hate daylight saving time with a passion! I much prefer the real time we’re on now.

The state has a law to eliminate DST bullshite after the fricking feds clear the way. We should, I say we should pressure on our elected offals to get the right shite done or slide out.

The opposite is true as to what to make permanent.

Bill signed by John Bel in 2020 makes Daylight Saving Time permanent contingent upon Federal approval.

20 states are on board to make change.

Last time it was raised in congress , it made it through the senate but not the house.

Rush hour traffic after work is usually a lot better with DST time + I have time when I get home to do basic things around the house outside and play some pickleball. DST is a win win.

They did this in the 70s and people hated it so they changed it back. Obviously this is dependent on location, but with permanent DST there will be places in the country where it is dark until after 9am at times of the year.

Arizona doesn't participate in this silliness but they have permanent standard time, not DST.

They might let states choose, but they will never make a move to year round DST. There are places in the Eastern Time Zone that wouldn't have sunrise until 9:00 am in the winter.

The whole country would have to do it. Time zones exist for a reason and are at 1 hour intervals between each zone. The 30 min rule you proposed would wreck havoc on the time zones.

Imagine the tv shows. This LSU game is at 7:30 Central time, 9 EST, 4 PACIFIC....

Wrong. We don’t need daylight to exercise or take a walk around the block. Or ride our bikes. We are probably in better shape than you.
